Peer Reviews

The peer review written by me, was for Celibel Capellan’s “New of Doing Thinking”.

The peer review written for me was Written by Celibel. Both of peer reviews are about the Literacy Narrative assignment.

Peer Review Prompt:

Each of you has reviewed one of your fellows’ Literacy Narrative essay. Now it’s time to communicate your review to your fellow, therefore, each student will POST A REVIEW LETTER, keeping in mind that your objective is to help.

Consider all of the following in your response: Is there a clearly-stated thesis that tells the reader the focus (or focuses when there is more than one story in the essay) which will be covered in the essay? How can you help your fellow focus and clarify their thesis? Are your fellows using proper MLA format in their heading, page numbering (top right of header field), an original, centered title, paragraph indentation, and double spacing? Are they using good source introduction techniques when/if they write about specific texts (an outside author’s or their own) to illustrate their literacy experience? Does their evidence (events, people, etc.) support their thesis? Is their syntax (the right words in the right order) clear?

What do you like? Where do you think more detail is needed, and why? Were there any sentences you had trouble understanding, or that you had to read more than once (always a sign of lack of clarity)? If so, tell them, so they have the opportunity to revise or otherwise clarify.

You do not need to comment on grammar, spelling or punctuation as you reviewed only a draft, and it is up to the individual writer to proofread. However, for example, if you notice a consistent spelling mistake, it is likely not a typo and should be brought to your fellow’s attention.
